About CMarie Designs
CMarieDesigns was started by Christy Marie Herbes, who began her long journey as a designer first teaching art and design at a public high school in Brooklyn, NY. After teaching for over 15 years, Christy began to realize that she could use her skills in multimedia and graphic design, fine art, and teaching to explore the field of interior design. She now does interior design and decoration consulting throughout the NYC and upstate area.
She currently holds an Undergraduate degree in Multimedia Design from the Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago, a B.F.A. in Painting from Guilford College in North Carolina, and a M.A. in Art Education from New York University in Manhattan. She is currently completing her certification path in Interior Design from NYIAD in New York City.
In her free time, you'll most likely find her going to see as much NYC art as possible, learning color theory from her talented 8-year- old son, trying to find the time to paint her next portrait, or drinking what might be considered an unhealthy amount of coffee.
